Cloud distributor Pax8 leverages its recent Wirehive acquisition to launch Pax8 UK.
Pax8 has officially opened its doors for business in the UK.
The US cloud distributor on Friday announced the launch of Pax8 UK with a new 30-strong strategic leadership team.
“As we move into new geographies like the UK, we are enabling MSPs and IT professionals to unlock new ways to automate cloud orchestration and optimization. Pax8 is modernizing how partners buy, sell and manage cloud. We simplify the buying journey with cloud automation, empowering partners to achieve more,” said Pax8 UK CEO Robert Belgrave.
The move follows the news that Pax8 has raised $96 million in new equity capital. It also announced last week its acquisition of UK cloud hosting and consultancy Wirehive.
Pax8 CRO Nick Heddy said the company “has laid a foundation for international expansion with the acquisition.” He said the purchase “adds an incredible amount of value to the Pax8 business.” It also is enabling Pax8 “to diversify our technology portfolio, provide more innovation to our partners, and capitalize on worldwide digital transformation.”
To date, the company has been largely unknown in the UK market. But Pax8 says it is 100% channel-focused and primarily works with MSPs.
UK partners can now access the Pax8 Platform to purchase products from a range of vendors. These include Microsoft, Bitdefender, Pax8 Pro, SentinelOne, Dropsuite, Ironscales, Liongard, SolarWinds Passportal, TitanHQ (private cloud only), Acronis and Airslate. As it expands, Pax8 says it will add more vendors to its UK line card.
The new recruits will join 32 Wirehive employees. The leadership team alongside Belgrave includes CTO Simon Green and COO James Rossell. Pax8 UK’s channel chief will be UK channel veteran Phylip Morgan, and Aaron Watts joins as VP of international sales.
As part of its international expansion, the company announced promotions of those who will run global departments at Pax8. These include Jennifer Bodell as SVP, global channel; Don Jeter, SVP of marketing; and Amanda Lee, SVP of global communications.
“This team is highly regarded in the industry and well-positioned to expand Pax8 operations globally,” said Heddy. “We congratulate them on the very deserved promotions.”
