Nextiva plans to continue growing the size and scope of its channel marketing organization.

Microsoft vet Jeff Turner is leaving his role as Nextiva‘s head of channel marketing after taking the position just last July.

Nextiva confirmed Turner’s exit and sent us a statement from Chris Reaburn, it’s chief marketing officer.

Jeff Turner has resigned from his position as head of channel marketing at Nextiva, and we wish him the best of luck,” he said. “Nextiva is committed to empowering our channel partners by providing them with the best in tools, programs and support. And we’ll do so while we continue to grow the size and scope of the channel marketing organization. We’re continually growing this critical part of the business and over the last several months we’ve added new programs and campaigns to support our growing number of channel partners.”

Turner didn’t respond a LinkedIn request for comment.

Turner previously was with Microsoft for nearly 17 years. He most recently was senior director of cloud sales, indirect channel partners.

Last August, Eric Martorano left his job as Nextiva’s chief revenue officer. The Microsoft vet is now Kinly’s executive vice president and managing director of the Americas.

Last fall, Nextiva announced it raised $200 million in funding from Goldman Sachs Asset Management in its first external funding round, at a $2.7 billion valuation. The company will use the money to accelerate its innovation, go-to-market expansion and growth in global markets.

At last November’s Channel Partners Conference & Expo, Turner (see below) talked about how the money would not only fuel product innovation, but also support for partners.
